okay so now that my paper for my spanish class is finished i have another week left to write 20 pages about the oh so interesting income distribution in Austria. Yippee! Sometimes i really ask myself why i do that to myself. Why i started with a subject that is so totally and utterly boring. On the other hand i see it as a basis for everything else. - well whatever. i'm feeling melancholy today, i like to think it's the weather: everything is gray and humid, the perfect day for a little winter depression. but just one more week and i get my life back. whatever it is that my life was before this.

it's finally done. my paper about the dependency theory is finally finished. now i don't know what to do with myself. it's kinda anticlimactic. it's weird i'm all wired and hyper, i want to keep going but there is nothing left to do till i get the paper back from my sister who is proofreading it. well there are things to do - like starting my next paper that is due in a week. i'm in a special kind of hell. but hey i'm not going to worry about it till tomorrow morning. tonight i'm going to relax do nothing maybe watch a movie or something like that that i haven't done since forever. oh yes i'm going to eat something real. well as real as it will get with the contents of my kitchen (i forgot that yesterday was buy-nothing-day and that i could not go food shopping therefore and today is sunday everything is closed) anyway, i have not been very nice to myself - the last time i had a real meal was tuesday - i think. that's not good & not very healthy but i just stopped being hungry. so this is my plan of action for tonight:
- get something real to eat
- take a long hot shower (it sucks that our apartment doesn't have a bathtub)
- relax
- get a full nights sleep without setting the alarm clock

i think that's it. right. good. okay now i feel kinda spaced out. good.

I've got a new Yoga-pick up line!: Show me what you can do with your big windshield wiper? I just love that phrase - it could be possible that it has something to do with to much irish-russians (we ran out of kahlua, and use irish cream instead, not my favorite but it works) I just love this kind of fussy drunkenness...

Your Rising Sign is Virgo

Well put-together and elegant, you sometimes seem standoffish.
And truth be told, sometimes you do feel superior to those around you.

A bit shy and introverted, you tend to stay quiet - even if you're feeling social.
At parties, you can seem like you're very serious while you're having fun.

You clever and ingenious, with an alert and active mind.
Good at facts and figures, you excel at logical and mathematical tasks.

*gg* i'm really GREAT in mathematics - it's so true (i have tears in my eyes from laughing so hard)

You Are An INFP

The Idealist

You are creative with a great imagination, living in your own inner world.
Open minded and accepting, you strive for harmony in your important relationships.
It takes a long time for people to get to know you. You are hesitant to let people get close.
But once you care for someone, you do everything you can to help them grow and develop.

You would make an excellent writer, psychologist, or artist.

okay an update on the cute & nice guy front. I have been out with nice guy twice in the last two weeks but on the second date i was seriously considering the option of poking my eye with something sharp. He is just so boring. If a friend of a friend wouldn't have come to rescue us I seriously wouldn't have known what to do. therefore my evening ended with an "Australian Schnitzel Burger" and "Nagilah Hava" as the new ring tone of my new phone - long story.

So now to the question that has been borthering me since then: Why do I always end up with guys that bore the hell out of me by the second date?

this needs some serious thinking.

okay according to my laptop it's now 05:14 in the morning. I just came home from a night out with my roommate. In a pub nearby they had an 80's night and as i had nothing better to do (the alternative being sitting alone at home or learning - easy joice really) i joined her for a night of dancing and drinking. Although the music was rather crappy, it amazes me how you can get the whole female population of a pub (and it's quite big) to scream out their lungs (not quite sure if this is an english expression but it is in german and hey I'm drunk) for "time of my live" and "like a virgin". Well, anyway it was fun. I met a nice guy and a cute guy. I got the phone number of the nice one. I learned again that eye contact is the thing to do. Well, that was it. I'm gonna stop rambling and embarrassing myself now and go to bed. good night or good morning or whatever...

it's decided i'm going to canada this summer!!! after my traveling companion makinglemonade told me that due to a severe financial crisis she will be spending her summer working in a refuge at an altitude of over 3,000m for two and a half month i'm taking up liquicat on her invitation to join her on her trip. i've been in canada before in oh so exiting manitoba but i'm really looking forward to seeing toronto. i've only seen the airport so far and i really regretted not visiting the city last time. this time it will be even better - i will have an inside guide.

plus i will get some more stamps into my passport (i have a thing for that) that is (to my deep disappointment) very empty. being a citizen of the european union you can travel around europe all you want not needing visas any longer but it also means that you don't get any crazy little stamps into your passport. it's probably a sign for me to travel more and go to really exotic places - not that i have a problem with that i would really like to do that. hand me a plan ticket and i will be gone faster than you can say airport. the only thing keeping me back is that i don't have the money for it. it's kind of unfair: now i have time for traveling but now money, when i'm finally finished with my studies and start to work in a real life job i will have the money but not the time - must be some sort of an evil conspiracy.

Anyway...what i really wanted to say is that i'm looking forward to this trip. canada - here i come!

i haven't updated for quiet a while now. for one i have been pretty busy but that wouldn't have been the biggest obstacle to overcome the real reason for my absence has been my laptop. the little guy has his own personality and let my tell you it's not the easiest to get along with. every time i tried to update the internet connection either broke down or was so slow that i gave up after a while. his latest quirk was to only have the internet working in the morning - i'm aware how crazy that sounds but there is a logical explanation for it: as soon as my roommate switched on her computer and went on-line mine stopped working and she usually gets up around noon. Now it seems my lovely cousin fixed that problem without even looking at my laptop - he is a genius and i secretly think "schlepy" (my laptop) is afraid of him. so only the mentioning of his name is enough to make him work again. anyway enough of my useless rambling: to make a long story short i will be updating more frequently in the future yeah for me!
